Introducing: Crop Genetics Regulatory Consulting Limited

With the passing of the Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Act 2023 and Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Regulations 2025, a new frontier has opened in both the AgriTech and BioTech industries. Following a six month implementation period, provisions in the act and regulations allow for the introduction of certain ‘Precision Bred’ organisms (PBO) to the market in England, UK, opening the doors to an exciting new commercial test market for qualifying innovative, gene edited, products.

With new opportunity comes new regulatory requirements. Businesses, Institutes and Universities seeking to release PBO from under their control or bring them to market will need to submit detailed scientific dossiers to the relevant regulatory authorities, to seek regulatory approval prior to commencing their activities, including, depending on individual circumstances:

  • Release notices (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs/DEFRA)

  • Marketing Notices (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs/DEFRA)

  • Food and Feed Marketing Notices (Food Standards Authority/FSA)

  • Environmental Risk Assessments

Here at Crop Genetics Regulatory Consulting Limited we possess the relevant molecular biology, molecular genetics, crop science and plant pathology skills and understanding necessary to aid you in drafting your crop genetics dossiers, alongside the required exceptional persuasive and technical writing skills.

From 14th November 2025 regulators are open to dossier submission. Contact Crop Genetics Regulatory Consulting Limited now to discover how we can help you prepare!
